Captain (Rtd) Aymeric de Torcy started his career in the French Navy in 1992 as helicopter pilot. He flew the Panther & Alouette III helicopters on board all kind of warships, including Lafayette Class Frigate and Surveillance Frigates overseas. He performed mainly State Actions at sea such as fisheries police in the wuthering 40°s, immigration control in the Mediterranean’s and counter-drug trafficking in the Caribbean’s. He eventually commanded the 22nd SQN, the French Navy Helicopter Pilot School, in Brest. He then has been a “helicopter” program officer for two years. After this, he has been appointed as an executive officer of the anti-submarine frigate “La Motte Picquet” conducting ASW operations in the north Atlantic before being awarded the command of the hydrographic ship “Beautemps-Beaupré”. He ended up his career as lead planner of the French Navy HQ in the Atlantic. He then joined Naval Group in 2020.
