Bazargan joined Raytheon Emirates as a director, where she is responsible for managing the UAE cyber and defense market customers, promoting a robust UAE cyber and defense eco system, and capacity building of superior UAE cyber security workforce.
Prior to joining Raytheon Emirates, Fatma led the cyber defense function in Injazat Data Systems, a Mubadala Company serving the cyber security needs of the UAE market. Primary focus areas were next generation security operation centers, information assurance & compliance, strategy, program management and capability development.
Over the past years, Fatma also helped in design, build and implementation of the United Arab Emirates Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), worked on the security master plan for Masdar city, and helped build the managed security services portfolio of Injazat Data Systems.
Bazargan holds a PhD degree in computer science from British University in Dubai, a masters’s degree in computer systems security from South Wales University along with additional master’s degrees in executive business administration with distinction from Zayed University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, from the American University of Sharjah. Bazargan is a graduate of Carnegie Melon University’s chief information security officer executive program (Exec-CISO). Fatma holds professional certification of Certified Information Systems Security Professional from ISC2 and is an ISO27001 lead auditor. Bazargan is also a Certified Raytheon Capture Manager.
